About this advice
BIMA has contributed to an article in The Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology journal providing practical guidance for clinicians managing patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions who wish to fast during Ramadan.
This builds on our existing BIMA Ramadan Compendium and presents an evidence based, patient-centred, decision-making framework that will help those with GI conditions understand any risks whilst fasting during Ramadan.
