We are pleased to share the BIMA Annual Report 2025, reflecting a defining year of growth, impact, and purpose at BIMA.
Over the past year, BIMA strengthened its role as the professional home and representative voice for Muslim healthcare professionals across the UK. Guided by our Islamic values, we delivered impactful community health initiatives, expanded national advocacy, and celebrated excellence across healthcare and leadership.
2025 Highlights include:
- Community impact at scale, including national Lifesavers campaign, defibrillator installations in mosques, Healthy Ramadan project and Mindsavers mental health workshops
- Stronger advocacy, tackling Islamophobia in healthcare, supporting ethical leadership, and amplifying the voices of Muslim healthcare professionals at national level
- Professional development and leadership, through ACE programmes, student mentoring, inductions, and specialty-focused learning
- Outstanding national events, including our largest-ever National Conference and the inaugural British Muslim Health Awards
- A growing movement, with thousands reached through events, hundreds of volunteers engaged, and over 1,000 new members joining BIMA in 2025
The report also looks ahead to BIMA’s future priorities as we continue to build partnerships, invest in leadership, and serve our communities with clarity and conviction.
