British Muslim Health Awards 2026

The British Islamic Medical Association (BIMA) is proud to present the British Muslim Health Awards 2026, returning for a second year to celebrate the outstanding contributions of Muslim professionals across the UK’s health and care sectors.

Judging Criteria

All nominations will be assessed from their written statements using the following values-based framework by our esteemed panel of judges.

Criteria Weight We’re looking for…
Service (Khidmah) 35% Compassionate support to individuals or communities.
Impact (Maslahah) 30% Evidence of tangible positive difference made, big or small.
Integrity (Amanah) 20% Consistent ethical conduct, reliability, and acting in ways that earns the trust of others.
Excellence (Ihsan) 15% Thoughtful, deliberate efforts that reflect values-led behaviours. This could include going above expectations or sustaining excellence over time.

We want to see examples of nominees excelling as proud Muslims, as well as impactful work that has benefitted Muslim communities regardless of faith.

The highest scoring nominees will be shortlisted for the Awards and contacted to agree their participation. Shortlisted nominees, along with one of their guests, will be offered complimentary tickets to the Awards. The winner amongst them announced on the night.
