Whether it’s a colleague, mentor, student, or team that inspires you, this is your chance to make sure their impact is recognised, and honour those making a real difference.
Please use the form below to nominate. We ask for a brief description of up to 300 words which will be assessed against the judging criteria. Nominations for multiple Awards are allowed but need to be submitted separately. Self-nominations are welcome.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination. The incredible response this year highlights the remarkable dedication, compassion, and excellence within the Muslim health and care community across the UK.
Our judging panel will now begin the careful process of reviewing all submissions to select this year’s finalists and winners. Updates on the shortlisted candidates and event details will be shared soon.

Any health or care professional can be nominated provided their work either benefits Muslim communities, or they identify as Muslim and contribute meaningfully to their field. Some awards also welcome nominations for teams, organisations, allies, community members, students, or managers. Details of this can be found the award descriptions.
Yes. We welcome self-nominations. We recognise that those most deserving of recognition are often least likely to be nominated by others. With the right intention nominating yourself can be a courageous act of representing work that matters.
Nominations are judged using values-led criteria: Service, Impact, Integrity, and Excellence. Clear, concise examples of the nominee’s contributions and character will strengthen the 300-word submission, which is all the judges will have to base their scores.
Yes, you can nominate more than one person or project, but each nomination must be submitted separately, with a tailored statement for that award category.
Winners will be selected by an independent judging panel, unaffiliated with BIMA or our partners/sponsors. All nominations are assessed using the same scoring rubric to ensure fairness and consistency.
That’s absolutely fine. For example, a department or team can be nominated for the Faith Inclusion Initiative of the Year, even if their wider organisation hasn’t yet embraced similar efforts. We want to spotlight meaningful change at all levels.
