The British Islamic Medical Association writes to express alarm and deep concern specifically for the safety of the Muslim health workers, students, and patients in the wake of the recent far-right extremist riots across the UK.

We find it disturbing that the term “Islamophobia” has not been clearly used in government or ministerial communications during this unrest, apart from its brief mention by the Home Secretary.
