BIMA is pleased to share that our President, Dr Sahira Dar, and Dr Aaliya Goyal – a GP and core BIMA member have been recognised in EqualityX’s Global 100 Influential Muslims list for 2026.

The annual list recognises Muslim professionals and leaders making a positive contribution across their respective fields. The recognition of Dr Dar and Dr Goyal reflects their leadership and continued commitment to advocating for Muslim healthcare professionals and helping create healthcare environments where Muslim communities feel represented, supported and safe.

Their work forms part of BIMA’s wider commitment to supporting Muslim healthcare professionals, strengthening representation across healthcare and ensuring the voices and experiences of our communities are heard.

We are also pleased to celebrate friends and allies recognised alongside them in this year’s Global 100, including Asma Nafees, Dr Tanvir Alam, Mahmud Nawaz, Sabina Hafesji, Naveed Sharif, Sara Javid, Sohail Shaikh and Dr Fatma Habib.
