In recognition of the award, Salman Waqar wrote:

“We are blessed as a community to have such talent, and it’s incredibly inspiring to see so many young(er) individuals making huge strides in their careers. These people are creating platforms, networks, and institutions that will carry forth good work for longer and further than any one of us could manage.
