BIMA was pleased to be consulted by NHS Resolution as part of the development of its Fairness and Proportionality Framework for Practioner Performance Advice. NHS Resolution is a part of the Department of Health and Social Care. They provide expertise to the NHS on resolving concerns and disputes fairly, sharing learning for improvement and preserving resources for patient care.

Drawing on our experience of supporting Muslim healthcare professionals and advocating for equity within healthcare systems, BIMA contributed insights to help ensure that considerations of fairness, cultural context, and proportionality are meaningfully embedded within professional performance processes.
