BIMA Urges Professional Bodies to Condemn the Killing of 400 Palestinians and the Ongoing Destruction of Healthcare in Gaza
The British Islamic Medical Association (BIMA) is calling on Royal Colleges and professional bodies to condemn the killing of over 400 Palestinians, including 130 children, in Israeli airstrikes on 18th March 2025. Gaza remains under siege, with healthcare facilities overwhelmed and essential supplies cut off.
In the letter, BIMA highlights the stark contrast between the swift condemnation of violence in Ukraine and other conflicts, and the continued near silence on Palestine. It urges these bodies to uphold their moral responsibility, and speak out against the ongoing humanitarian crisis and genocide. Silence is no longer an option.
