BIMA, along with 11 other leading British Healthcare Professional bodies, has written to the Foreign Secretary David Cameron.

We echo and support the letter from the British Medical Association (BMA) dated 12th January 2024 calling for a ceasefire in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to allow unimpeded humanitarian aid to the Palestinians. We feel that this is a time-critical issue, particularly following the historical International Court of Justice (ICJ) rulings set out in the investigation of the State of Israel for genocide. These include unimpeded humanitarian aid and returning access to drinking water for the Palestinian people.
