BIMA President, Dr Salman Waqar, spoke at the Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia (IMAM) annual conference presenting an overview of the NCDs affecting Muslims in Britain.
The conference was attended by the Director General of Health for Malaysia, and had delegates representing over 25 nations. Former BIMA President, Prof Sharif Al-Ghazal, also presented a session on the History of Islam and Medicine. BIMA’s ongoing work was highly appreciated by our colleagues and through this engagement were able to improve our international relations with Muslim communities across the world.
