We’re recruiting to our Healthcare Professional Advisory (HPA) Committee (formerly Council of Healthcare Professionals), our multidisciplinary advisory body that informs and guides our work. Members bring their insights from the frontline of diabetes care, and associated healthcare networks, guiding our work and ensuring we meet the needs of both healthcare professionals and people living with or effected by diabetes.
The committee aims to represent the full spectrum of specialisms, with members benefiting from working within a national, multidisciplinary committee and gaining insights from people living with or effected by diabetes through close working with our Diabetes Lived Experience Advisory Committee.
The Committee meets four times per year with regular email consultation of members between meetings and the opportunity to join small working groups and one-to-one collaboration.
We are interested in hearing from all healthcare professionals with a specialism or interest in diabetes and would particularly welcome applicants from the following professions:
- Dietitians
- Diabetes Specialist Nurses
- Practice Nurses
- Consultants and/or Clinical Scientists
- Public Health Professionals
- Representatives from Primary Care Networks and Integrated Care Boards.
