Professor Maureen Baker CBE, immediate past chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners, will be speaking in the Professional Development, Leadership and Advocacy session at the BIMA National Conference 2017.
Professor Maureen Baker CBE DM FRCGP is the Former Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners (2013-2016) and Strategic Adviser for Patient Safety in HSCIC. She has previously held appointments with the National Patient Safety Agency, NHS Direct and University of Nottingham.
Additionally, she is a Visiting Professor of General Practice at the University of Sheffield. Her work in patient safety includes establishing a formal clinical safety management system for NHS CfH; the development of safety standards for health IT for the NHS in England; and the development of e-learning modules in patient safety for doctors in training.
