The NHS Religion Equality Advisory Group hosted a compelling breakfast discussion that delved into promoting equality and addressing discrimination within the healthcare sector. The agenda featured an impressive lineup of experts. The event (5 July) commenced with Professor Iqbal Singh CBE, a pro-Vice Chancellor at the University of Bolton, sharing insights on inclusivity for NHS staff of faith. Dr. David Katz from the Jewish Medical Association took the stage at to shed light on advocating for faith-based equality. Later on in the morning, Dr. YingFei Heliot from the University of Surrey discussed supporting religious identity. Diverse voices, including representatives from the Brush Islamic Medical Association and Christian Medical Fellowship, enriched the conversation. Participants also had the option to connect via Zoom. It was a wonderful event, and all involved engaged in impactful discussions for fostering positive change.
