The Assisted Dying Bill returns to the House of Commons on Friday 11 September 2026.

The debate around assisted dying is complex. BIMA’s opposition is based on clinical, ethical and professional concerns — including the lack of professional consensus, unanswered questions around safeguards, pressures facing end-of-life care, and the potential impact on vulnerable groups.
